Enai Skyrim Maelstrom Spell Dmg

So, my bf just noticed that maelstrom and master weapons dont anymore have the same bonus as before CWC. Meaning the maelstrom for example used to add spell power on top of the effect. But now since its item set bonus there is no longer the spell power. However I have seen nothing about that in any patch notes. Intended? Not? This seems like a really big nerf to the maesltrom and master weapons to me.
@ZOS_GinaBruno Can you clarify on this, please?

you must have not read the entire patch note or i dunno, but i clearly read on the note when you had the little « spoiler » drop down thing, a note from one of the dev, that they removed the bonus as now it's not an echant but a bonus set so if you would had kept the spell power foir exemple, plus the bonus set, plus able to enchant, it would had been way too OP and i agree.
