Like dagger for mobility to easily climb monster and dodge. After climbing monster i change it to sword to use Dire Gouge also controlled fall is useful. Gale harness instead of instant reset and it was really nice for awhile but i rarely get the opportunity to charge it up. You do get a slight increase in dmg w/ long swords over daggers but the higher dmg bonuses like mage buffs, bard songs, poisons, runes, extra cun, exploit weakness you can stack on your rogue the dagger starts to pull ahead. If you are Dual wielding and you have 2 weapons equipped with the same DPS, but with different AS (Hammer + Dagger) Hammer = 300-900 dmg AS = 1.0 = 600 DPS. Dagger = 200-600 dmg AS = 1.5 = 600 DPS. If a daggerspell mage gets a sneak attack bonus from another source (such as levels of rogue), the bonuses on damage stack. Cosmic Dagger: 30% boost to ATK and HP of equipped daggers. Defense Stance: 30% boost to Defense allies' DEF and and 10% boost to HP cap. Mediation Sting +: Massive Light damage to a foe. Venom as a skill is only supposed to be.4 second duration, so stretching it out to say 2.5 seconds with a low skill lvl psn dagger makes it do a lot, but stretching it to say 3.5 sec duration with a higher lvl skill of psn dagger will increase the damage a lot.

Path A: There is a NA translation error saying double attacks but it is not.
Notes
- 'Phantom Roll' effect: Damage taken -6%' only applies to the wielder.[1]
- The DT affect is applied per roll, regardless of where the roll came from. The dagger does not need to be equipped during the roll. With 4 rolls up, and dual wielding Rostam daggers, a total of -48% DT can be achieved.[2]
- Effect only applies when equipped.[3]
- Path C: [2] says 'Phantom Roll II', which is a mistranslation and should read 'Phantom Roll XI' as in rolling an 11.

For attacks Viper Strike probably wins because it's 110% base + 50% chance for 25%/s for 7s base. Which is like 197.5% without any duration nodes. Barrage with +1 arrow on quiver/bow could beat it though 5*40%. A shotgun Tornado Shot that hits all 5 with GMP would be 5*110%*0.5 = 275%, not op at all.
